There are many ways you can impact the lives of children and families in Malawi as an individual. Consider the various ways you can partner with Pamoza.
Give a financial donation
The easiest and fastest way to help is to give a donation. Your monetary support has a significant impact because we can use it to purchase goods and services in Malawi, which not only supports our programs, but also grows the local economy; thereby enhancing economic opportunities for the community members we serve. You can make a tax-deductible donation any time through our secure online donations or by mailing a check.
Shop online through our website
Pamoza benefits every time you shop on Shop.com through our website. Shop.com offers great deals on clothes, home and housewares, shoes, electronics, and more from over 1500 stores plus easy online shopping comparison.
Connect us to your church, company, or community group
We are always looking for opportunities to present to groups, especially those that seek to have a stronger international connection or missions ministry. Please contact us to discuss a partnership with your group.
Join our recycling program
Pamoza accepts empty ink cartridges, used cell phones, and aluminum cans which we recycle for cash and use to fund our programs. Recycling allows you to make a difference for the environment while helping people in Malawi. Just begin collecting your recyclables and contact us when you are ready for a pick up.
Sponsor a project
Project sponsorship involves financially supporting a time-specific initiative or activity. You can support all or part of a project’s costs. We will update you on the progress of the project and how your money is spent. Pamoza seeks to implement the following projects in 2013:
- Construction of a borehole at the Zowe medical clinic – $10,000
- Construction of a school library – $10,000
- Student desks and chairs for each school we work with – $4,000
- Development of a micro-credit/micro-finance facility – $20,000
Donate medical supplies and equipment
Each year, during the summer, we take a group of people from the U.S. to Malawi to facilitate medical missions and other ministries. In the past, we have been able to bring several suitcases of medicine that we left in the community for later use. Donations can include over-the-counter medicine like Tylenol, cough syrup, vitamins, bandages, and etc. We also accept other donations based on community need and our ability to transport them to Malawi. Please contact us to inquire about non-monetary donations.
Become a prayer partner
Pamoza International believes in the power of prayer and we covet your prayers. The work we have been called to do is difficult. As a Pamoza Prayer Partner, you will receive regular prayer requests from us and will be able to intercede on our behalf on some of the most challenging aspects of our work.
The Bible commands us to go into all the world and preach the gospel (Mark 16:15), yet it is challenging for many believers to leave the comfort of their own communities – to reach out to brothers and sisters in other countries. Pamoza International believes in sharing the love of Jesus Christ not only through our words, but through working together toward a common mission so that everyone’s lives are enriched.
Churches are our most critical partners. As a church, you can:
Invite us to speak
We would love to introduce Pamoza’s work to your congregation. God is doing tremendous things through our ministry and we want to share with and engage your church in the work. We can come to speak for any amount of time during church service or another regular gathering.
Connect us to your missions ministry
The core of our work is missions-focused. We share the gospel through actions that improve the quality of life for all people. We would love to partner with you in your missions activities.

Participate in a missions trip to Malawi
Each year during the summer, Pamoza facilitates a missions trip to Malawi. The trip typically involves members from one church or organization to assist with activities the community cannot do on their own. In the past, activities have included running medical clinics, facilitating Vacation Bible School, and installing solar panels.
Involve your youth in making a difference
Helping others provides youth an opportunity to exhibit God’s love. Your youth ministry can participate in our Hungry4Change program (also known as the 30-hour famine). Through H4C, youth fast and pray for 30 hours while raising money for a specific cause or purpose. H4C allows youth to pray for and empathize with food insecurity, which plagues so many Malawian families.
Please contact us to participate in any of the above activities.
We value local companies and organizations and seek to partner with you to transform the lives of children and families in Malawi. Here are some ways you can get involved:

Recycling allows your company to make a difference for the environment while helping people in Malawi. Just set up a recycling drop off section in your office and we will collect what you recycle.
Donate goods or services
Your company can help with our events and fundraisers by donating space, gift certificates, raffle prizes, and other goods and services.
Match employee donations
Consider multiplying the impact of your employees by matching all or a portion of the financial donations they make to Pamoza. All monetary donations are tax-deductible.
Please contact us to participate in any of these activities.
Give students the opportunity for experiential learning through a partnership with Pamoza.
Facilitate service-learning projects
Service learning is a pedagogy that allows students to learn through strengthening communities. Because successful service-learning projects should be student-driven, Pamoza is willing to partner with your school or classroom to design the best project that serves the communities in Malawi but aligns with student skills and interests.
Invite us to speak
Pamoza makes learning fun. We are available to come and speak to your school or your classroom about Malawi culture and/or community development. Our sessions are interactive, engaging, and free. We want to expose students to how people live in Malawi and how their actions in the United States can help or hinder others.
Join our recycling program
Pamoza accepts empty ink cartridges, which we recycle for cash and use to fund our programs. Recycling allows students to make a difference for the environment while helping people in Malawi.
Sponsor School Breakfast
Food insecurity is a major challenge in rural Malawi. To counter malnutrition, Pamoza started a school breakfast program providing hot porridge to students. Currently, 1,500 students receive school breakfast every school day through our program. Because of our collaborative approach with the community, it costs us $10 per student per year to provide breakfast. Your school can help us sustain this program by sponsoring a certain number of students to receive breakfast.
Dress Down for Good
Do your students wear school uniforms? Host a dress down day to raise funds for a school in Malawi. Pamoza partners with 20 schools in rural Malawi and all of them have insufficient resources. Some of our school partners in the U.S. have allowed their students to dress down for $1 each and that money has been used to purchase desks and other school supplies for students in Malawi.
